Our Story

Our Cape Chiropractic story began in 1998 when Dr. Brian Avitabile went to work for the late Dr. Richard Singleton. Instant friends, the two doctors would go on to open four more practices in the coming years. Most recently in 2026, Dr. Michael Perras closed his Mashpee location to work for Cape Chiropractic in Centerville and Dennis. You can find two great doctors in Cape Chiropractic Group!

Our Team

Dr. Brian Avitabile

Dr. Brian Avitabile is a Cape Cod native and proud owner of Cape Chiropractic Group. He grew up in West Yarmouth, attended Bridgewater State College, and New York Chiropractic College. After starting and running a successful practice in North Carolina, Dr. Brian settled back on Cape Cod in 2008 at the same time he met Jessica, his amazing wife and partner, and started a family. The couple has three active children, Ella, 15, Halle, 13, and Jackson, 9, who are involved in theater and sports.

Dr. Avitabile believes fully in the Activator Method of Chiropractic and implements that in his practice. He is also the Northeast Regional Director for Activator Methods, and sought-after teacher.

Dr. Michael Perras

Dr. Michael Perras was raised in the Albany, NY, area and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1984. From there, he attended the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1987. Dr. Mike joined the Cape Chiropractic Group in March 2026 after practicing for 16 years in Mashpee, MA. He also established highly successful practices in Johnstown, NY, and Falmouth, MA.

Dr. Mike continues to enjoy providing natural and holistic chiropractic care to the community. He is an Advanced Proficiency Rated Doctor of the Activator Method. He has been married for 37 years to his best friend Joann. They have two awesome daughters and a first grandchild on the way.
